In my final semester or B.Tech or MCA, should I do an Internship in Java.
Aspiring Minds which conducts the AMCAT exam has been doing studies about the state of Indian higher education for a few years now. In a study in 2005, they said, “A degree is not enough. Graduates need the help of experts to equip themselves with the skills required in a real working environment”. The Mint article talked about a student who couldn’t get a job after B.Tech in computer engineering. Few companies came to the campus for recruitment and the student wasn’t well equipped for the industry.
In a recent 2017 study it said, “Crisis in Engineering Education: Time to re-think approach to education.” According to a study by Aspiring Minds stated that the State’s engineering students’ employability is only 8.33 per cent.
This is the reality of education and employability for a majority of B.Tech and MCA students. The final semester offers you an opportunity to change this and prepare yourself with the right skills to do well in the industry. It is a fact that a lot of students do not have sufficient knowledge of programming and any programming language like Java. There are lots of software companies in Delhi NCR (Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon), Bangalore (or Bengaluru), Chennai, Pune, Mumbai, Chandigarh etc. But while conducting their placement drives and in choosing their future employees, these companies are choosy. Rightfully, so. They are looking for students with good knowledge of programming and technical skills. They are looking for students who have written thousands of lines of code. They are looking for students who will do well as employees.
In this context, the final semester Internship in Java should be viewed as an opportunity to make yourself a good programmer, to have good knowledge of Java - to become a Java Master. So, this time should be utilised to ensure that these issues are taken care of and at the end of the final semester you have become a good programmer who has written hundreds of programs and thousands of lines of code.
So, when you are choosing to do a final semester internship, your goal is clear. Also, it is advisable to choose an online Java internship. Why.
How do you write code. On your computer. And also, while writing code you sometimes face problems. An online Java internship is really helpful in enabling you to write lots of code.
